The golf courses are not MESA work; the Earth Course is publicly credited to golf-course architect Greg Norman. This page concerns MESA’s clubhouse and pool-deck landscape scope.
Earth Course — Dubai Golf ↗Context
The work connected clubhouse arrival, motor court, golf-cart circulation, pools, gardens, lake edges, streetscapes, neighborhood parks, and residential open space across a large golf community.
MESA Design Group's role
MESA master planned the clubhouse layout and the pool-deck layout serving the clubhouse between the Fire and Earth courses.
My role
MESA Design Group master planned the clubhouse layout and the pool deck serving the clubhouse between Jumeirah Golf Estates’ Fire and Earth courses. I was the primary assistant for construction documentation, helping translate the approved landscape and amenity plans into the coordinated drawing set used to advance the built work.
Design challenge
A large hospitality and residential environment needed to feel coherent across very different scales—from district structure and arrival sequence to pool edges, courtyards, and water details.
Approach
The design used a consistent language of shaded courts, water, garden rooms, ceremonial arrival, and neighborhood identity. Plans and sections connected aesthetic intent to circulation, grading, and program.
Result
MESA produced a substantial set of master plans, sections, presentation boards, and design-development details for the clubhouse and residential landscape systems.
Looking back
The project reinforced the value of designing at multiple scales: the district framework matters, but so does the detail a person encounters at walking speed.
