Context

CityStars Sharm El Sheikh was conceived as a mountain-to-sea resort framework organized around nature preserve, mangroves, lagoons, golf, hospitality, villas, and a connected public-realm and circulation hierarchy.

My role

My documented work included design-guideline storyboarding and book production, diagrams, on-street parking studies, research on Egyptian governing agencies, Medina GFA and context studies, road plans and sections, courtyard and promenade design, master-plan rendering, entry and waterfall features, and banquet-hall detailing across several workstreams.

Design challenge

The project required a coherent identity and functioning movement system across an enormous, environmentally varied destination with many development types, phases, and consultants.

Approach

The team connected regional structure to detailed design guidance. Master plans established the large ecological and mobility framework; pattern books, road sections, entries, plazas, courtyards, and water features translated it into repeatable place-making rules.

Result

The archive includes regional and Phase II master plans, design guidelines, a pattern book, and detailed studies for clubhouses, villas, lagoons, entries, roundabouts, promenades, and hospitality spaces.

Looking back

This is systems thinking at territorial scale: a vision becomes useful only when it can be translated into standards, decisions, and details that many teams can apply consistently.
